WHEN AND WHERE IS FILM EXPO TEXAS 2008?

The sixth annual Film Expo Texas will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 in Houston, Texas at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel, 2828 Southwest Freeway, Houston, Texas 77098

 

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

Parking is free in the hotel parking lot.

 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?

Expo Pass - $35.

(includes access to all workshop panels, exhibits, program and an expo goodie bag)  

 

No discounts this year due to the low expo pass price. Everyone pays $35.

 

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO REGISTER?

Online registration is the easiest where you can pay via PayPal using your credit card. If you pay by check, the postmark date must be no later than October 1, 2008.  Checks will not be accepted after that date.  Once your payment has cleared, we will email or mail your receipt to you and your pass will be available at the registration table on expo day.

 

CAN I PAY FOR A SINGLE SESSION?

Because the price of the expo pass is so low, there will only be one pass which allows you all access. There is no single session pass this year.

 

WHERE DO I PICK UP MY EXPO PASS?
The Registration Area will have your Expo Pass, you must bring your payment confirmation receipt and a valid government-issued ID (current drivers license or state ID).

 

WHAT TIME WILL REGISTRATION OPEN?
Registration opens at 5:00am for Exhibitors and at 7:30am for attendees on expo day. The expo starts at 8:00 for exhibits and at 8:30am for sessions.

 

CAN I PAY BY CHECK?
Checks are only accepted by mail and must be received no later than October 1, 2008. Checks will not be accepted at the expo, under any circumstances.

 

WHEN SHOULD I REGISTER?
You should register for FILM EXPO TEXAS as soon as you have made definite arrangements to attend. Registration payments are not refundable, though the payment is transferable to another person prior to expo day if your plans should change.

 

IMPORTANT – READ THIS PLEASE!

FILM EXPO TEXAS, at its sole discretion, may cancel or refuse registrations and/or purchases from any individual or company at any time. By clicking on the Paypal "Buy Now" button or authorizing payment to FILM EXPO TEXAS in any form, payor agrees to the following FILM EXPO TEXAS policies:
1) payments are not refundable for any reason including, but not limited to, failure to use your Expo Pass due to illness, acts of God, travel-related problems, and loss of employment;  2) unused registrations have no monetary value and cannot be credited to future years or events; 3) If you cannot attend the conference this year, you may transfer your registration to another person before the expo day and only for FILM EXPO TEXAS 2008.

WILL MY NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION BE LISTED IN ANY FILM EXPO TEXAS  DIRECTORY?

No, we have no such directory his year.  You will, however, remain in our database.

 

HOW WILL I KNOW THAT MY MAIL-IN REGISTRATION WAS RECEIVED?
You will be notified by the FILM EXPO TEXAS Registration Department once your check or money order has cleared the bank. This confirmation is sent by email to the address provided on the registration form. If no email is indicated, we will call or send confirmation by fax or postal mail. This confirmation will show that we received your payment. Bring this confirmation to the Registration table on expo day.

 

I WANT TO REGISTER NOW, BUT I’M NOT SURE WHO IS COMING FROM MY COMPANY. CAN I USE FAKE NAMES UNTIL I KNOW?
Yes, you can use fake names. Please follow this example:  Company Name 1, Company Name 2, Company Name 3, etc.
All of your fake names will have to be transferred to real names by October 10, 2008.

 

HOW CAN I GET EMAILS FROM FILM EXPO TEXAS?

I JUST LEARNED THAT I CAN’T ATTEND DUE TO AN EMERGENCY. CAN I GET A REFUND?

Our materials clearly state in multiple places that all FILM EXPO TEXAS passes and purchases are non-refundable. If you cannot attend the conference this year, and have already made payment, you may transfer your registration to another person only for FILM EXPO TEXAS 2008. Just email us the nature of the issue and the name of the person to transfer your registration to.  Your email address must match the original address provided when you registered and paid.

I’M A TRADESHOW EXHIBITOR, HOW DO I GET ADDITIONAL EXPO PASSES?
Your exhibit booth comes with two passes. Additional passes may be purchased via the website on the Register page. There are no discounts on the passes.

 

WHAT DO I GET WITH MY PASS?

A FULL EXPO PASS ($35.) includes:

  • Access to the workshops and panels
  • Access to the exhibits
  • An expo goodie bag filled with magazines, software demos, promo materials and more
  • The Official Film Expo Texas Program Book
  • You can participate in the Filmmakers Challenge Test and compete for prizes
