Film Expo Texas was founded in 2002 by industry veteran, Abiiba Howell, in response to the growing trend of runaway production. In an effort to combat the loss of local production, the mission of the expo centered around the concept of strengthening the local crew and staff base through education, greater access to industry resources and a raising of the bar when it comes to production standards. Our goal is to make the motion picture industry accessible to all through an event which seeks to educate, entertain and inform.
